Wanna Go Shopping? STOLEN SWEATER UPDATE
This post is for my friends in the Portland, Oregon area. This morning I got an e-mail from the lovely and dear-hearted Elif, who was in the Broadway Goodwill last night and found two of my stolen sweaters. Tina, the manager of that store says that they sometimes send sweaters out to other stores when their racks get too full, so there is a possibility that others are waiting to be found in other Goodwill stores. If you are free to do so today, and find yourself in the vicinity of a Goodwill store in the Portland area - won't you please help me to take a look for them? If you are lucky enough to find one or more of the stolen pieces, please take them to the store manager and ask them to hold the piece(s) until I can come collect them, then just drop me a line at mary@maryscotthuff.com. Rewards will be given to Elif, and anybody else who helps me make a recovery!
Thank you my friends!
Love Mary
PS - the sweaters Elif found are the Wedding Belle, and Being Koi. Bless Her.

Wow- score a good one for Goodwill! How great that any turned up, and found their way back to you!! (Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed for the rest of them; wouldn't that be something, if they all turned up??!!)

I'm SO SO glad that your sweaters have begun to turn up. I'm on the other side of the atlantic so can't help in the search but I have been wondering if there was any progress

Mary,
I am so happy for you and so is my husband as we both knit. Hopefully some more of your beautiful work will be found and returned to you - that "Man Upstairs" is watching out for you. Keep up the good work.

Have checked stores at SE 6th, SW 12th & SW Burnside. No Mary sweaters yet, just 2 momentarily heart stopping impostors. Heading over to SE Powell.

That's great news! I'm so glad they're showing up. I wonder if the local press would run an article about your stolen sweaters. That might make any would-be owners turn them in perhaps. Good luck! I've been sick over your stolen stash.

Oh this is so fine. I did wonder what the thief thought when s/he opened that suitcase and found sweater after sweater instead of whatever the thief imagined.
Hopefully over time more will show up.
Please keep us posted on which have been found and which are still missing.

Have you checked at the Goodwill on 10th near the Library? That one's very "boutique" like and might have some of your sweaters. Good luck finding more! I'll be keeping an eye out in the West side GW's for you.

I checked the Goodwill Stores at 1943 SE 6th (the big one on SE Grand) and 3134 N Lombard, but found none of the sweaters, sorry

So glad that at least two of the sweaters have been found. There is hope for the rest.
Folks might also want to check the various church charity shops and Salvation Army stores. Maybe "they" spread the wealth beyond Goodwill.
