The Red Faery Sings
I now present the Red Faery, as promised (gamely modeled by my mom on the occasion of her 76th birthday):
Was it worth my struggle to the finish line? Sewing in the sleeves on the ferry to the island? Stitching on the buttons in the dark of the night before Mom's party? You bet your sweet Faery Ring.

I didn't think you'd pull it off but you did! It's amazing and I'm sure your mom loves it. I'll bet she's thinking what a great daughter she has.

Oh! Beautiful job and beautiful on Mom. The corded tassel is especially intriguing, and the buttons are the most wonderful finishing touch.

I can't imagine what it's like to be able to give your mother a gift that you not only knit, but also designed, and which has become a very successful pattern. What an incredible gift.

It's such a gorgeous sweater and Mom looks lovely in it. Lorette and I have already ordered our Black Abbey yarn to start our Faery Ring KAL on November 1st. Can't wait! Must hurry up and finish some other WIPs first so I can focus entirely on this gorgeous creation of yours. Thanks for such inspiration and generosity.

what a lovely sweater and the buttons are the crowning touch - except for the corded tassle! I don't know which made me laugh out loud first but I do enjoy just looking at this sweater - gorgeous!! Really - your mother must be very proud of you. How wonderful.
